Truls Mørk on recording Chopin
 Truls Mørk's most recent CD Nocturne (Virgin Classics) with the pianist Kathryn Stott is a recording of Chopin's Cello Sonata and Transcriptions for cello and piano (release date: 3 September 2007) - below they write about the reasons for choosing this exceptional repertoire:
"Chopin's compositional output did not include a great deal of chamber music, but what he did write included a number of pieces for cello. From this one could assume he had a special affinity for the instrument. In this recording, we have taken this a step further by choosing transcriptions of music originally written for solo piano - pieces with a strong melodic line which seem to transport themselves to the cello so beautifully."
